Second-chance romance is one of my favorite tropes. This was a quick and sweet read and I really liked the relationship that developed between our two Morgan and Drake. It's clear from early on that they are still very attracted to each other.

A few moments had me chuckling at the situations our MCs found themselves in. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the obstacle race component, their banter was fun to watch. There's also a set of twins in the book that I adored!

And if you're wondering, I wouldn't classify this as a spicy read. It's an open-door romance with a few mild intimate scenes.

It was a good book. Do I wish we would have stayed longer in the hating part of their relationship? Maybe. The wait would have made them getting back together that much better.

What I loved:
I was so obsessed with this story in the beginning. I loved that they were competing, and I was so ready for the angst and redemption of a second chance love story.
I like how level headed both Drake and Morgan are in their 30s, cause it gives me hope I’ll have more lessons and experience under my belt.

What I didn’t like as much:
- Pregnancy Trope
- the pacing really slows down in the middle because there isn’t that push and and pull of will they won’t they. They pretty much declare in the beginning they will and then they do.
- didn’t love how scandalous they made an abortion sound

Overall: cute, enjoyable story with a happy ending. Good for people who don’t like angst.

This was cute. Characters are very likeable and there is a decent amount of chemistry, but there was just something missing. The conflicts were too low stakes and everything was too easy. If you're looking for a fluffy romance with a bit of spice, this definitely fits the bill.
