I really enjoy the Pine Harbour series, but I liked the first two better than this one. Ryan and Holly had real chemistry. I liked the way she interacted with his kids. I understand that Ryan was traumatized by what happened with his wife, Lynn; but, the pain, angst, and guilt Ryan was feeling went on a little too long.

Other than that, this was a pretty good addition to the Pine Harbour series.

I enjoyed reading Ryan's story, it was so nice for him to find some happiness after all the tragedy. There is a lot of tension in this book, lots of sexual tension but there are also a few laughs and just a few tears. The kids are great and add life to Ryan and Maya is just too cute for words. This is a great instalment in the Pine Harbour series.

I didn't want to give this only four stars but also didn't want to give it five. I didn't like the constant back and forth from Ryan but the story definitely pulls you in and makes you feel what the characters in it feel.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking a good contemporary romance with no cheating.
Ryan was seen in the last book in this series as his wife Lynn was shot and killed during a drug bust. Now he's thrown into the role of single parent status and has no time to think of anyone but his three kids. As we always see in a small town, everyone lends a hand as he struggles in his new role. He get's stuck being handy man to the new film production that rents out his in-laws cabins for a few months. Enter Hope Creswell aka Holly Cresinski enters town with the new film production as the female lead and is drawn to Ryan because he doesn't have an ounce of fake in his body. After finding out that he is a widower she treads carefully and falls for him.
This story was beautifully done and is worth all five stars! I love this series!

I love how even though really high emotions Ryan and Holly found each other. This was a sweet book and even though both parties have hard lives, I'm glad Holly/Hope stood her ground and waited for Ryan to wake up.

The widowed lumberjack and a lovely movie star. Making a family. Love after loss.

Marijuana addiction, health issues hinted at. Overbearing mom. Lots of breakups along the way.

Ryan Howard is raising his 3 kids alone after his wife died unexpectedly a few months ago. Holly is actress Hope Creswell and she's in town filming a movie, staying at Ryan's in-laws cabin. Ryan can't help noticing Holly, she's beautiful and sweet but he's not ready for a relationship. Plus, he doesn't know that Holly is actually the famous actress in town filming a movie. I really enjoyed the build up between these characters and their relationship. Ryan's kids were really sweet and he was such a good dad. I really enjoyed a lot about this story. There were parts that were sad because Ryan still struggles so much with Lynn's death but overall, this story was very sweet.

Just all kinds of sweet. And getting Ryan's story is just...*sigh*
