Not going to lie, I feel like I had high expectations for this book that it didn’t really live up to too much. It was still good, but I thought id be OBSESSED seeing as it gave heartless vibes, but I easily could put it down tbh. I usually love when a MMC in a marriage of convenience calls the FMC wife but like it was too often and it annoyed me I’m not going to lie. gennie was iconic in this book though

At first it was gonna be 2.5⭐ The first star for the potential of this story. The second star for Noah and Gennie. And the .5 of a star for the rest of the characters. But the more I thought about it the more I hated it so no it’s a one star or less (yeah, I have beef. No, I don’t care.) For everybody saying this is a 5 star book. I don't get it. I really wanted to like it but I know y'all lyin'.
First this book should've been like 200 less pages.
And second It saddens me to say but this book had so much wasted potential. I wanted it to be so good and it just wasn't. I don't know exactly what agenda or effort the author was trying to push but no...just, No.
The Fun-lovin small town grumpy farmer with sole custody of his wacky niece now that has the makings of a good time. I did not have a good time. I was bored and annoyed and almost Dnf'd more than once.
I just want to enjoy myself and read a book. If I wanted to read or hear about irl extreme BS I'd watch the news... but I digress
I guess I'll have to stick with really dark shit where characters do all manner of questionable things because atleast that is FICTION. I’m not mad I’m just really, really disappointed.
