The book doesn’t give as much detail as o would’ve liked to sophie and alecs engagement it seemed that the end was super rushed. I read it in almost one day but ran out of sunlight
Alec Riley and his three children are just barely living one year after the tragic accident where the wife & mother is killed. His sister becomes friends with Sophie who is from Czechoslovakia. She suggest that Sophie live in their apartment and help care for the family. Alec agrees to have Sophie come help after he and his children interview her. Slowly Sophie through her faith is able to help all of the family.

I really liked this book. I love the way the story turned out and I enjoyed each of the characters. I felt that they were all well developed and believable. My only real dislike was the length of the story. The edition that I read was over 400 pages long. I really felt like there were a few spots that could've been edited down to shrink it and the story wouldn't have suffered. The content of this book is also extremely spiritual which can be a good thing. Just to let you know this isn't just a clean romance the evidence of Christ jumps right off the page. Overall a great story and I can't wait to read more by Lori.
Ii would have to say that this is one of my favorite Lori Wick books. Sophie is so funny, especially at the end. Once again, the way the characters talk isn't very realistic, but the storyline picks up the slack.
There is one thing in here that I didn't like. A guy questions why Sophie wears pants, and she comes back with the fact that she is wearing women's pants. Excuse me, but what is the difference ?! Sure, the pants for females may be cut to accentuate the figure more, but there is no real difference in pants, and I do not appreciate Lori Wick putting that part in there.
