WoW, this tension and uncertainty are killing me. Another part of this series that raises further questions. As I already think I know what the ending of Jericho and India's history might be, something unexpected appears. That's why I love reading Meghan March books, she very skillfully creates tension and arouses curiosity in the reader.

Luck of the Devil by Meghan March colaz

In Luck of the Devil I got to know the story of Jericho better, which allowed me to better understand his character. Jericho becomes more aware of his feelings for India, but he isn't quite sure what to do with them.
As fo India, her past is still undiscovered. Although some secrets come to light, there are new questions that she is not ready to find answers to. And in addition, Jericho's behavior confuses her even more.

I love that so much is happening in this book. There was not a single moment in which I would roll my eyes or scroll the page without reading them. Each chapter was more interesting than the previous one. I can not wait for the third part, where everything will be explained.

My summary: After marrying Jericho Forge in a whirlwind and the subsequent release of her sister from unknown kidnappers, India now faces her own abduction from Forge’s private island at the hands of Bastian DeVere. Bastian and Forge have had a long time feud and India is unsure of who to believe. After returning to Forge, despite all of her doubts about her new husband, the one thing India knows for certain is that she’s not giving up her poker, whether or not her marriage to Forge lasts. And Forge has decided that he’s not letting her go.
My thoughts: The continuation of the Forge trilogy picks up right where the first book left off. It is overall fine. It’s a bit hard to keep some of the side characters straight, and the reason for the involvement of some of them in the plot is murky at best. I’m still not enjoying the female narrator much, she has an odd inflection at the end of sentences that just isn’t jiving with me very well. This book ends on a cliffhanger, just like most of Meghan March’s trilogies, so I’ll be diving right into the third one next.
