The cover on this one was real beautiful, and the fourth book in this series.... but they can be read as standalone. Reading in order, however will give you backfill on all the characters this small town series has.
Kennedy is the socialite daughter of a man who committed a Ponzi type scheme. She has changed her name to live a quiet life away from the haters that find her guilty by association. Cain is a mega rich, hot guy that is taking a solstice away from his computer company. This small town life has a way of making big problems more solvable. This was a fun strangers to lovers book, and I thought it deserved five stars.
What did I like? I loved Cain’s super protective ways and how Kennedy just sasses him. Loss is a huge toil to go through in life and seeing how Cain has turned it into such protectiveness was amazing. I also loved how Kennedy was.... after her ordeal she turned her life into helping others and it was beautiful. Love this small town and it’s characters.
Would I recommend or buy? Yes. YES. This is a beautiful story, and a lovely small town. I have really enjoyed all the characters so far, and it’s a stand alone but your going to want the other stories. I really want Tessa’s story since she caught my eye in the first book, and Jensens.

I liked it! I felt like something was missing though and I can’t quite put my finger on it. The switch from them “not being interested” to being together seemed very fast. The drama felt a little contrived as well but overall another good instalment in this series.
This book is literal perfection. Kennedy & Cain are officially my favorite couple
