Stumbled on this book and bought it on an impulse, and I'm so glad I did because it will definitely be one that I read multiple times. It is great horror writing in each short story that together tell a longer story. It's honestly fantastic!

Renfield County is just not for me. I tried. I really did. Twice. (Renfield called me back once. It won’t get me again!)

In the interest of full disclosure, I received a copy of this book from the publisher (via Netgalley) in exchange for an honest review;

And I loved it. The Poorly Made and Other Things is a series of ten short stories, connected by an interstitial and the fact that they all occur in Rebelein's Renfield County. I have not (yet) read Edenville, but it's not necessary for an understanding and enjoyment of this book.

Two stories weren't my cup of tea, but I think they were very well written. I particularly enjoyed Detour and And Every Thursday We Feed The Cats.

This was the most excited I've been about a book in a while. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
