This is my favorite volume as it wraps up the Yomi arc, which featured my favorite character in the entire series, Ebisu. And the Yomi arc is the arc that really got me hooked on Noragami. It's also the arc that's the game-changer. Ebisu is so important to the development of Yato as a god and their interactions were the scenes I was really looking forward to in Season 2 of the anime. Yato makes a few changes in this volume in order to strive to be the god that Ebisu is and who Ebisu believes he is able to be. What's also great about this volume? The reveal on who Father is. When I first read that chapter I just stopped reading and walked out of my room in order to digest the fact that that character is Father.
This volume concluded the Yomi arc. But wow, this has been quite a journey. I have to say that this is my favorite volume to date. (Sorry if I'm a bit vague in areas but I don't want to give away spoilers.)
This volume deals with the aftermath of Yato going to Yomi, Yato trying to repair his relationship with Yuki, and Ebisu being reborn. There was a cute scene in which Yato takes Ebisu to his favorite (well his former self) and Ebisu has stewed burgers. In addition, there's also a bit resolution in relation to the stray. We really get to see the relationship between Yato and Hiiro (the stray) and why they have that relationship. Towards the end, Yato does come to a resolution in regards to her and I have to say that it really broke my heart. But it really does goes to show how much he's grown as a character. (I love this series so much!)
Also, we finally get to see who Yato's father is and we learn a bit about him (I have to say when it's revealed who he was, I had to go back to previous volumes in order to be sure and took a moment to gag).
