Very cute sequel in the Spoiler Alert series. It’s Alex gets his love in this book with a woman, Lauren who is supposed to watch over him for his bad decisions. It’s great to see a person who has ADHD and a fat person represented in a love story. These are many times things authors look over so it’s fun to see these characters deal with their own issues surrounding their characteristics and find love in themselves and each other.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book. It was nice to hear more of Alex's and Lauren's story, which was only hinted at in Spoiler Alert. The story is sweet, but I did not get invested into the characters and their relationship. This was partly because of the audiobook narrator. I am quite picky when it comes to voices I enjoy listening to and in  this case I struggled, because the narrator used a quite monotone style of narration, which did not transport the emotions well. This is clearly a personal preference though.

Olivia Dade is officially one of my favorite authors, period. This was glorious. I didn't love it quite as much as Spoiler Alert, but I still really loved it. The little details that Olivia includes about the characters make them come alive for me in a way that is super unique. I also love the diversity in her books. I actually shed tears over this one, y'all.

All the Feels by Olivia Dade is a 2021 Avon publication.

Alex, who plays 'Cupid' on the wildly popular show, "Gods of the Gates",  is having a hard time with his image. His repeated and very public scuffles have landed him in hot water with the powers that be. To keep him from blowing up his career, he has been given one last chance… and a minder….

Enter Lauren Clegg. Lauren desperately needs a break from her job as an ER therapist. She’s offered a handsome sum of money by cousin to keep Alex in line. The position is challenging because of Alex’s impulsivity, but once Lauren gets to know him, the lines between professional and personal begin to blur…

While I enjoyed ‘Spoiler Alert’ well enough, I’m not really the demographic the author is writing for,  and it made me feel old. LOL! I had already queued up this follow-up, so I felt obligated to at least give it a chance.

As it turns out, I enjoyed this one more than the last. I found Alex’s guilt complex issues compelling, and Lauren’s serious high stress job burnout was heartrending and eye-opening, as well.

The way the romance developed was absolutely adorable! Alex is funny and sweet, despite his reputation, and Lauren was the perfect match for him. The couple complimented one another perfectly. Their banter is so entertaining!!

The fanfic is still a part of the book, but it was toned down just a bit, and because I had a little more familiarity with it this time around, it wasn’t as much of a distraction.

Overall, I went into this one with a little bit of trepidation, but ended up getting swept up in the charm, humor, and warmth of this story. I loved it all the way from beginning to end!

Considering how much pegging is associated with both Cupid and Alex, especially in the first book, I'm pretty disappointed that there is no on-the-page pegging scene. Where was the peg that was promised??
Overall a very cute book and a very fun follow-up to Spoiler Alert. I enjoyed Alex and Lauren's dynamic once we hit the middle of the book, as the beginning felt somewhat like a recap of the first book's events from a different perspective. I wish we had been able to see their relationship flourish a little earlier on, since seeing these misunderstandings rehashed was a little tiresome (especially as someone who recently finished the first book, so pretty much everything is still fresh in my mind). Nonetheless, this book was a funny, cute, and emotional read.
