In my journey to read the Spoiler Alert series backwards I have finally finished All The Feels and I indeed have many feelings myself - possibly all of them at once. I think this might be my favorite of the stories within this little Hollywood circle of actors and actresses. First off, the cover is so cute and warm and was my favorite of the three books too. And the way that Lauren reminded me of myself a little bit and that I’ve always wanted someone like Alex to love me so fiercely like he did her. From the start he was smitten with her - and of course he didn’t know it until much later but I KNEW IT JUST FROM THIS QUOTE:

“Her eyes were brighter now than the stars about could explain.”

Like EXCUSE ME YOU’RE IN LOVE GOOD SIR!

Of course I got my dreaded third-act breakup, but this one for some reason didn’t bother me as much as Peter & Maria’s so maybe that’s why I liked the book just a little more. I know I liked the book more because of the way I held onto it so tight and caused damage to the spine 😂

And of course we had our text chats and fanfictions which I loved and seeing more into Alex’s life and how he thinks. Because I’m reading backwards on this sort of interconnected trilogy I know part of Marcus & April’s story but I’m not upset about it because I just want to see how cute they are compared to the couples I have now come to love from Dade.

Profoundly irked by the lack of pegging!

Overall enjoyable…more good than bad, I’d say.

Definitely some problematic elements, especially surrounding the intense focus on Lauren’s appearance that didn’t let up from page 1 right through to the end of the epilogue. I also found Alex a bit infantile for a 39-year old and I don’t know if that was the best way to show his ADHD.  Being a “delightful asshole” came across more grating than endearing at times.

But otherwise, I enjoyed the crossover timeline from Spoiler Alert and how they interconnected. I really liked the slow burn of Alex & Lauren’s relationship, plus the extra tidbits of the fanfics and playing up the romantic tropes on their road trip.

Alex Woodroe....I'm adding him to my fictional boyfriend list.

I absolutely loved this book so much more than Spoiler Alert! I felt that Alex and Lauren had a better connection, and it felt like both were more grounded in reality than Marcus and Grace.
Not to mention that the banter... The banter was just fun, sexy, witty, and fun and both Alex and Lauren gave as good as they got in such a delicious way.

I really enjoyed the slow burn of this one as it let both Alex and Grace actually learn each other, talk, converse, and be in the same space as they both realized they liked each other and having to come to terms with how their lives away from each other meant and what they meant in each other's lives.

I borrowed this from the library but I might just need to buy a physical copy for myself ❤️

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It was a fun story and I think Olivia Dade writes loveable and fun characters.
I think my only remark is not a big deal just a personal thing. It's not really a spoiler, but kind of so I'm marking it as one.
there was so much talk of pegging yet no actual pegging scene between them and idk I kinda wish there was 😂

Alas, not my favorite of this series thus far. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of slow burn romances and the working title for this book was "Slow Burn" so that's more on me. Your mileage might vary.

That said, I remember being excited to see Alex and Lauren fall in love while reading Spoiler Alert and this didn't disappoint. I really appreciate that Lauren isn't the "accepted" type of plus-sized, I.E. the hourglass-shaped vixen with a Jessica Rabbit-like bust-waist-hips ratio. Bodies come in different shapes and sizes and they're all valid and deserve our appreciation.

I also appreciate the depiction of Alex's ADHD. ADHD is often portrayed as this vapid, quirky, impulsive thing and Alex is very much seen that way in the public eye but we get to see the full picture of his love, his need for acceptance, his huge emotional range. We get to see the world through his eyes and it's so rich.

And Wren, ugh. She kept surprising me and her struggle with giving just so much of herself that she's burning out on all fronts is something I understand too well. Dade sucked punched me with that and the slow reveal of just how much Lauren does that. It's actually reminded me to take better care of myself so thank you, Olivia Dade for that one.

Overall, it wasn't the slam dunk I was hoping for but it's still a great time with a great cast.

TW: Mentions of domestic assault, fatphobia, panic attacks, some violence and bullying

This follow-up to Dade’s Spoiler Alert - another contemporary celebrity romance - delightfully surpasses the original.  It centres a charming and, at times, hilarious relationship between two rich, complex characters, deftly delivering a dirty/sweet romance that plays out against a backdrop of issues: adult ADHD, toxic and abusive relatives, and body positivity.
