These two were my favorite in Spoiler Alert, I was so glad to see them again! I LOVED Alex, I felt seen, I felt his chaos, I loved his voice and his tone and his joy. Lauren was a delight to get to know better, she’s so strong and brave and made such a great contrast to Alex. Such a different protagonist compared to April from Spoiler Alert.

I loved them. Alex and Lauren are so goofy together, I love that they found each others’ love languages in a perfect way. Alex’s favorite tropes are also my favorite tropes and I would read any of his fics any day.

Profoundly irked by the lack of pegging!

Overall enjoyable…more good than bad, I’d say.

Definitely some problematic elements, especially surrounding the intense focus on Lauren’s appearance that didn’t let up from page 1 right through to the end of the epilogue. I also found Alex a bit infantile for a 39-year old and I don’t know if that was the best way to show his ADHD.  Being a “delightful asshole” came across more grating than endearing at times.

But otherwise, I enjoyed the crossover timeline from Spoiler Alert and how they interconnected. I really liked the slow burn of Alex & Lauren’s relationship, plus the extra tidbits of the fanfics and playing up the romantic tropes on their road trip.

I enjoyed Spoiler Alert, but I enjoyed this one so much more. Alex is one of the most accurate portrayals of ADHD I’ve ever come across and I felt very seen in his character.

GAHHHHH I'm in love with this book. Everything about it. Mmm okay well maybe not some of those in between chapters with the scripts but other than that its perfect and even those can't dampen the rating!!!!! Seriously I don't think I've ever loved a relationship dynamic more. I mean both characters are so amazingly written and are perfect for each other AND THAT SLOW BURNNN OH MY GOODDD. Alex is perfect and I will not be accepting slander in any way shape or form.
honestly my favorite thing about this book was the resolution. The way both characters grew and worked out their own problems and acknowledged everything that needed to acknowledged and left nothing wanting (except maybe a pegging scene but hey that's for another time) was beautiful.
I absolutely adore the character development. Okay that's all. Go read the book if you haven't.

This was a darling story, a new favorite of mine in the romance genre, and far superior to the quality of Spoiler Alert from my perspective. The characters are likeable and well drawn, and the love story is believable and touching. I found the sex scenes not to my personal taste but can't dock the story for that since that's just my own preferences. Highly recommended, especially if you like fanfic and hated the final seasons of GoT. 😏

ALL THE FEELS BY OLIVIA DADE
A celebrity is caught in another scandal is assigned a "babysitter/minder" to keep him in check until the last episode of his current show airs.

Dates Read: Nov 17-Nov 24, 2021
 Format: Ebook and Paperback
-borrowed through Libby, purchased myself during Target's buy 2 get 1 free
 Annotated: ✅
 Recommend? ✅
 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
 Pace: medium
Tropes: grumpy x sunshine, forced proximity, tall x short, one bed, cuddling for warmth, road trips, slow burn (first kiss 250+ pages in)
TW/CW: ADHD representation, domestic abuse discussed but not described on page, fatphobia, body shaming, sexual content, bullying, toxic work environment

Review: When I first started reading, I was skeptical about how much I'd enjoy thus book, but I was proved wrong. ALL THE FEELS quickly became an all time favorite and Olivia Dade is now an auto-buy and a must read ASAP author. Due to my enjoyment of the story and the characters, the numerous tropes used, and moments between the main couple that hit home for me, I couldn't help but giving this 5 stars. Alex is the male main character, working as an actor on a popular show, but due to him getting caught in another scandal that will affect his already tarnished reputation, his management assigned him a minder, Lauren, to keep in check until the last episode airs. At first, Alex and Lauren are put off by each other but the forced proximity and personal conversations eased their relationship into something platonic and later on, romantic. Alex has ADHD and often feels his emotions at 100%. He does things impulsively without always thinking about the consequences but does so with good intentions. Lauren quickly realizes that there's more to Alex and his scandals may not be as bad as they seem or entirely his fault.

Immediate Thoughts After Reading: Nov 24, 2021: If I could stop crying about the last 150ish pages maybe I could write a coherent review. Anyways this is 5 stars and my new favorite book by Olivia Dade. My heart is screaming. Alex is in L O V E with Lauren. The cover has so many hints and symbols to the story. They remind me of a Tiktok couple. I am a very happy harpy. Goodnight.

Some of my Favorite Lines:
-"To quote a great leader, and I think I speak for all of is here: fuck you very much."
-"He didn't need more either. She was enough. She was everything, exactly as she was."
-"Whatever you want. However you want it. Nothing more, nothing less."
-"To all the little girls who learned to stay quiet and not take up space in the world. May you find your inner harpies and demand your due, at long last."
-"I dont carry about them, Wren. I want to look at you. I want to listen to you."
-"Because she was important. Too important to let herself be abused without consequence."

trigger warnings: description of domestic abuse, fatphobia and related bullying, sexual content, alcohol mention, physical violence, workplace violence and abuse mention

This book was LOAAADS better than the first, as much as I liked that one too. The chemistry between the leads was so charming and I loved the quick witted banter and bickering. Alex as a character is so similar to the way I conduct myself that it was a bit unnerving to read certain parts. Lauren is so sweet and wholesome and I loved her character journey through and through. I genuinely loved this book so so so so sooo much.
