Olivia Dade has quickly become one of my favourite authors to read. I fall in love with her characters every time.

Wren and Alex have a beautiful love story that was a pleasure to read. Their feelings for each other grows quietly and unknowingly until it’s too loud to ignore. Alex’s defensiveness of Wren had me swooning, and Wren’s harpy energy had me smiling every time she put Alex in his place.

The forced proximity trope is the trope for me! And the fact that Alex knew it was a trope had me grinning ear to ear.

I didn’t love how Alex kept referring to Wren’s appearance. I get it; Wren is short, fat, and has a big nose. That’s Olivia’s style and I am here for it! But some of the scenes could have been written differently to not focus on her body. We haven’t forgotten how she’s been described.

This was a darling story, a new favorite of mine in the romance genre, and far superior to the quality of Spoiler Alert from my perspective. The characters are likeable and well drawn, and the love story is believable and touching. I found the sex scenes not to my personal taste but can't dock the story for that since that's just my own preferences. Highly recommended, especially if you like fanfic and hated the final seasons of GoT. 😏
