I love this duology.

This book was a bit slower than the first and the pacing could’ve been better but I didn’t care much.

Bel and Lena are just perfect, they complement each other so well, where one falls the other picks up.

Alix might also be my favorite side character, girl is hilarious, witty & smart.

I love Bel and I love Elena and I love Alix and I love Pol. This duology made me laugh, cry, scared, excited, elated, and aching for more when I finished. One of my new favorite fantasy romance authors.

I loved this duology. While I would imagine little different progress and ending of the story, it wasn’t a bad one.
Overall it was well written, language and story wise… just cannot help some disappointments of mine.

DNF after 11%. I had no reason to keep reading. It was so boring. Lena was not helpful at all. If you haven’t made plans on what to do after the escape, fine. But maybe it would have been super helpful to have a discussion. You know, maybe talk to each other?! Share ideas? You literally have nothing to do during the whole day.

I’ve finally done what I should have done with the first book. DNF, because at 25%, we still have no direction for our characters, no plot except running away through the forest, and I’m really confused why Bel doesn’t just talk to a bird and ask for help or scouting or anything…

Seriously, this story could have so much potential, but the pacing is painfully slow and while I like the characters, I don’t like them enough to listen to their repeated inner monologues for so much of the book when nothing is happening.
