This book was not the most interesting to me. I didn't hate it, but it just felt like a book written by a man for men. I'm sure it's amazing to people who are super into the Civil War, but just not really my thing. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes war stories or American history.

I think I would have liked this book more if I hadn't had such high expectations for it. The Civil War is really interesting to me, but this story didn't hold my interest very well. There are some memorable scenes that I enjoyed, but overall, I was disappointed.
