There are ‘’slow burns’’ and then there is this. Just an absolute snore fest.
A Good Marriage, despite the title, is more legal thriller than domestic thriller. It has a big cast of characters and a mysterious death, like Big Little Lies. And if you like legal wrangling with some gray areas like Presumed Innocent or Primal Fear, this will be right up your alley.
It kept me guessing for most of the way through, but didn’t quite stick the landing. (Maybe because it fell back on one of my least favorite plot devices in suspense.) But still, any book that makes you want to discuss it with someone else is a winner!

Thoroughly enjoyed reading and analyzing this one (read as a buddy read with a friend). Had a few unanswered questions with what I felt was a bit of an abrupt end.
i think i liked this when i read it but ultimately not memorable enough to even recognize it when i started watching the mini series..... awkward
The first half of this book was pretty compelling but as the story evolved, Lizzie was not believable as a lawyer. She was kind of ditzy, didn't ask the right questions or pursue information. Also I'm so tired of characters (Amanda) delusionally believing that dead characters (Amanda's dad/Carolyn) are still alive. Seems like a common and gimmicky trend in the thriller genre.

Ohmygod... SO GOOD! The twists and turns are surprising and even when I did see something coming, I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless! Fantastic story!
