This is one of my favorite contemporary middle-grade novels of the year so far. I love that Keller takes some of the stigmas out of depression and shows how it can affect an entire family. I really enjoyed this story and feel like it will be a great read for a wide audience

I read this book as part of a novel study with my 5th grade students. I thought it was pretty great! Very funny, but also very real in terms of some of the complicated issues that children deal with.

Read with a student. It was a good book that discussed the emotions of the loved ones that suffer from depression in a entertaining way. Also the cool take on the scientific method was my favorite.
