Dr. Mike Flynn just watched his best friend get married. While at the wedding he notices that the bride's sister is astonished to see him. In the first book, she was introduced as the rather flighty younger sister. Now we find out some of the reasons for that. She nursed her first boyfriend Chip until he died from cancer. He was a rather self-involved young man whose wealthy family made Annabelle feel like she was dirt. Well, all but her best friend who was the boy's twin sister. The second man she was engaged to was a mortician she found boinking his makeup artist.
Now she's absolutely floored to see a man who looks exactly like the first man. She ends up in bed with him and then getting closer, until she discovers a secret that's going to rock Mike's entire world.

really liked this follow up to romeo, romeo. will definitely be continuing with this series :-)
This book was adorable. I LOVE Kaye's Domestic God series so much. She creates the perfect men who just adore the women they fall for. Dr. Flynn is perfect and Annabelle is just like any other woman out there whose been hurt and fears being hurt again. 5 STARS!
When the heroine (an artist/gallery assistant) meets the hero (a doctor) at her sister's wedding (see [b:Romeo, Romeo|4412611|Romeo, Romeo (Domestic Gods, #1)|Robin Kaye|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266714816s/4412611.jpg|4460746] for sister's story), she thinks he is a dead ringer for her late boyfriend, so naturally the two hook up. This brings the hero into contact with the biological family he never knew, and unexpected fortune and dilemmas. Another cute, funny, hot installment in this series.
This book has a lot going on, veering into the melodramatic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but it’s certainly not boring. It’s definitely a product of its late noughties time, with cliches like the gay neighbours with no character development, but in general the writing was good.
Didn't like this one quite as much as the previous book - I wouldn't have minded the predictable plot/ending (you read a romance novel, you know what you're getting, usually) but I found I didn't like the characters in this one nearly as much. While it was nice to get a more sympathetic look at Annabelle (compared to the POV characters' thoughts in the first book), I still found her rather infuriating and difficult to empathise with. Not one I'm going to reread at all.
Another really humorous book in this series. Great to read more about the Rinaldi sisters, as well as other characters from the first book. The relationship problems continue, and the characters are a bit helpess in certain matters, as their self-confidence is not always as good as it truly should be.
