With having more than 10 characters whos personal sides of the story were told simultaneously, I couldnt keep up. The story line was good but overall just too much to keep up with and therefore made the read much less enjoyable.
This book is just what I needed for an audio book while I’m cleaning at work. MHC is my guilty pleasure and a fast read so 2.5/3 stars.
Mary Higgins Clark did not disappoint. This is a story about a 20 year old unsolved murder with a long list of people of interest, including the victim's husband and daughter. Each character could have been guilty and their secrets only solidified their suspension of guilt. Additionally, each of the characters knew that given the opportunity they could have committed the murder and some were not sure they did not. As always Clark gives of full character development. I always enjoy her novels, and even though they are a bit lighter mystery they are always full of twists and turns that keep the reader guessing until the end.
Too many characters introduced right away, which made it confusing trying to keep track of everyone and how they were related to the crime.
Painful. Absolutely painful. At no point did the desire to quit this book ease up. I read this book because it was the first in a series in which Alafair Burke co-authors and I wanted to read everything she has written, but I am going to skip them now as this book was so bad.
The first Mary Higgins Clark I’ve read...but certainly not the last!
The book contained in depth twists for all the characters, which made me empathise with them more and for once the author actually tied all the loose ends up at the end of the book (my pet peeve that many other authors don’t do!). My only comment is a few of the extra ‘background’ characters weren’t properly introduced and so it confused me when they suddenly had a chapter from their perspective as I had to try to remember who they were!
I really loved how at the end of the book all the chapters became shorter and more hectic along with the characters thoughts - it really increased the tension and made me want to keep reading! I’m looking forward to buying the next in the series!

good story, and well written, as always. The title kept me singing the whole time I was reading it, but I never did figure out the connection between the title and the story. I think she just liked the title.
Thank goodness for this book. It rescued me the horrible reading slump I had been in. I opened it and knew within the first few pages that I was going to enjoy it and wouldn't be able to put it down. This is vintage Mary Higgins Clark. Back in the day before she started using first person narrative, you knew that when you picked one of her books that you would frantically turning pages to reach the end. I was very happy when she returned to third person narrative. The beauty of her books is the multiple-character prescriptive that keep you guessing who did it. Thoroughly enjoyed reading I've Got You Under My Sin.
I enjoyed this book like I do many of Mary's books. This book had me hooked from the beginning. It's about Lori, a television show producer that is being threatened by her husband's killer. She comes up with an idea for her station that surrounds "closed cases." The first case she picks is a murder of a prestigious woman named Betsy. There's a number of suspects and you get their thoughts as well in this book.
I enjoyed it and although I had guessed it (but wasn't certain), I still really enjoyed the book and can't wait to pick up the next book in the series.

Mary Higgins Clark is one of my all-time favorite authors and this book doesn't disappoint. I am excited to start this series and catch up on it over the next few months.
This book has two mysteries running in parallel as we are introduced to Laurie Moran who is a producer looking to launch a new series, "Under Suspicion", by bringing together people who were at the scene of a horrific murder 20 years ago. That's mystery number 1. Mystery number 2 involves Laurie, her son, her late husband, and her father - who killed her husband, Greg, and why?
I enjoyed the journey of both mysteries and while I thought the resolution of the first one was somewhat anti-climactic, it was still entertaining and mostly fulfilling.
All in all, I very much enjoyed this book and it's page-turner pace. I look forward to reading the second one soon.
