This was such a delight to read. I haven’t read a best-friends-to-lover trope in a long time and this was one just so cute. The setting of a family road trip was so fun yet also brought out all the feels.

What I also loved about it was that the main characters are both artists. A lot of things they talked about like being afraid to show others their work, doubting themselves, feeling strange and like they don’t fit in…it was all very relatable. I can’t draw shit, but as a writer, I can definitely relate.

PLACES is only the second book by Kasie West that I've ever read, but it's already my favorite. I loved the descriptions of traveling in an RV (something I've always wanted to do!) and the tension between Norah and Skyler. There were a couple things I saw coming before they were revealed, but that did not kill any enjoyment of the book for me. From start to finish, this book was a super fun read that left me grinning so hard my cheeks hurt.
