Oliver Queen is a cocky rich guy who drinks constantly, sleeps around, and surrounds himself with sycophants. Oddly enough, he also knows how to use a bow and arrow, because...reasons. However, he gets quite the wake-up call when he’s betrayed and nearly murdered. Waking up alone on an island, he has to rely on his skills with a bow and arrow, his old Boy Scout wilderness survival knowledge, and his wits.

I liked this character a lot. While easy to compare the Green Arrow to Robin Hood, this is a character that gives nothing to the poor until he truly is at his lowest. I’m not too familiar with this character and I don’t watch the show, so this was a great introduction.

This was a reread for me, and I think I loved it even more on second reading. Green Arrow is one of my favorites, maybe my absolute favorite of the DC lot, and this depiction of his origin is flawless.

The graphic novel that started my obsession of Green Arrow.

I really liked this one too. Guess I will have to read more Green Arrow...

Eh, rich white guy gets a reality check and becomes a "superhero".

Same story, different weapon.

I have never read comic with Green Arrow and I enjoyed this one very much. From the art to the story it was great!

This is a strong version of the origins of Oliver Queen as Green Arrow. I'm sad to see that there were no follow ups to this version of Oliver Queen, as Diggle had a good handle on the character. I'd have enjoyed seeing him work with the other staple characters of Green Arrow.

This was awesome! Really interesting origin story and really well executed.

The art is gorgeous, and the whole comic book looks amazing, especially all of the greens. The story is really enjoyable.

I love just about everything.
