It was such a fascinating start and I honestly had no idea where it was going, which genre it was, or how it might possibly end. But after a great start, there was a slow middle, and an unsatisfying ending. Miranda dipped her toes outside of her thriller genre but then eventually fell back on her typical mystery/thriller tropes by the end to present a forgettable and typical resolution. 5 star start ended in a 3 star read. If only she'd beena bit braver and stayed on the scifi/paranormal track, this book would have been so kuchen better and more memorable.
