Just not my thing, but I tried it because a friend wanted me to.

This isn't a read cover-to-cover sort of book: more of a flick-through-and-occasionally-make-appreciative-noises kind of book. It not only lists odd or "unique" attractions in a particular country, it does a good job of telling the story behind a particular listing which makes you genuinely tempted to visit, say, a merry-go-round for leeches that predicts the weather in Devon.

Five stars because a little book about overlooked curiosities the world over would make a good edition to anyone's library. The e-reader navigation could be improved though.

Brilliant and delightful book.
I've left it out - and my kids (and I) have spent hours digging for treasure among the pages.
The intensely researched book is full of fascinating details about our vast world.

3.5 Stars. Funky book. I bet as a website it is much more engaging, due to the overall mass of the experience. I like the organization and the expectations the book lays itself out in.

Love love love. I collect books and this is one of the books that I had to have. Such a good book. If you love to travel, are curious about the world or even want something to have for those awkward silent moments when a conversation comes to a stall. This is the perfect book for anyone.

A really cool travel book that features some strange or hidden treasures you can find across the world! I especially like looking near my area and found some interesting things! Excellent book and in general fun to flip through!

Nove pagine di indice analitico, un buon inizio per animi curiosi.

This was the travel book written just for me. I love all this weird garbage. I love all the people that collected strange objects or worked on art or buildings out of unusual materials. I love all the hoaxes. I love all the natural as well as the (extremely) unnatural. I think I've only been to one so far. Watson Lake Sign Post Forest for life!

This isn't a book that you simply read from cover to cover; you pick it up and find yourself lost throughout the pages, skimming or diving into the stories. WARNING! You will get the travel bug and have the desire to seek out the places in this book. Plan accordingly!
