“The Agreement” is a brother’s best friend friend bully romance, and it was a wild ride from start to finish!!! Cade and Abby’s love story was dark and gritty, intense and emotional. They go through so much over the course of the novel, and Cade is a MMC I loved to hate. I loved Abby because she was curvy and proud, and because she learned to stand up for herself and put herself first. I do think that Cade learned from his mistakes, and I was happy with the ending.

I absolutely love bully romance books, but this wasn’t it for me. Cade was a complete a$$hole right off the bat without giving us a real reason. Abby was a push over to no end, it was quite sad. DNF at 44%.

The Agreement is the third book in the Morally Gray Billionaires series by L. Steele, featuring Cade and Abby’s enemies to lovers/fake relationship story. I’ll be honest, Cade was a tough one for me. He was hellbent on revenge for something Abby did to him when she was a young teenager, and would stop at nothing to humiliate her and break her down. He just didn’t count on old feelings rising up, as well as an undeniable attraction. Yes, she did something wrong, that had a profound impact on his life. However, she was a child, and she had no idea what would happen. His obsession with hurting her as an adult is a bit crazy. I guess it does create plenty of drama, tension, and emotional moments. I just wish Abby would have had a bit more backbone and stood up for herself. The punishment did not fit the crime. I will say when Cade finally sees the error of his ways, he pulls out ALL the stops in the most epic groveling scene ever!! It was super sweet! If it was me, however, I would have run a long time ago!

Abby is known to be a mafia princess, she tries so hard to make it on her own cause she doesn’t want it to define her. Her brother is Best friends with Cade. Cade used to also be her friend when she was younger, but Abby destroyed Cade's life. 12 years later Cade is out to seek revenge. Cade just happens to run into her one day on the sidewalk and that's when he sets his plan into motion. It took me a second to actually like Cade which is the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5…. He was very hard to like. It was still a fun story to read and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I honestly don’t know how to feel about this book, this was a booktok recommendation.

Cade absolutely bullied her for like the first half of the book. He was out to break her down and destroy her for anyone else. It made it hard to read the book because Abby was fine with it, she had no backbone what so ever. He treated he like shit while also being in love with her at the same time?

This really just felt like a lust filled relationship and nothing more than that. The last few chapters I guess were cute but it made it hard too see it after how he treated her. Gave it two stars because I at least finished the book but it really was hard to.

Cade was a jerk. It was hard to get past. There were a lot of cringe worthy moments. The timeline was weird and not well defined. This book just had a lot of issues and I skimmed a lot. I also needed to keep reading as I wanted to see what would happen. I didn't love this book, but I for some reason want to read Declan and Solene's book.
