A strong 3.5 stars. This really hit the spot for me. I’m not even usually into alpha stories, but I loved the premise and the story definitely delivered on it. I loved the single person POV, the GFY and opposites attract, and how they fell for each other even though they were only supposed to be an arrangement. I got some slight Alessandra Hazard vibes too at times, which was awesome. I’ve been waiting for that from this author.
The downside? Too short! Much too short. I felt like they didn’t have time to develop properly before they got together in the end. I wanted so much more, and while the end was lovely, I felt bereft. It was a tease. I think the author could’ve easily added on 50-100 pages without it being too much. I wanted more!

The worst book in the series by far. A boring corporate job plot, leads that lack chemistry, an asshat MC who didn’t deserve a HEA, a “straight” love interest (because internalized biphobia is something I look for in a queer romance 😐), and shame about the act of bottoming. Literally the only thing I liked was the chronic illness rep, I kept reading hoping for some satisfying character growth but I never got any
