Like the preceding volume, this book does a great job with the characters and keeping a quick pace and fun tone throughout. The art is also solid for the majority of the book. The reason for the two stars is that this neither wraps up the plot from the previous volume, nor provides a complete story on its own. The Outsiders go to rescue Metamorpho and eventually get out of that situation, yes, but more and more disparate bits of information are dropped on us until we open yet another new mini-story, presumably all to be combined in future volumes to give us a complete story. But there are no future volumes, so ultimately nothing gets resolved. There were four single issues released by DC after this, but they aren't written by Chuck Dixon, as he left after this volume. Those issues would have been appreciated here to give SOME closure, even if not what was originally intended, but instead we're left with a bunch of open threads. A waste of what could have been a solid collection.
