Peppa is the cutest. You learn so much about humans, survival, and history in the book. Loved it!

Listened to via audiobook. At first I was hesitant about the narrators Scottish accent, however it worked perfectly to the story and made the characters even more endearing, I would recommend listening to this one!
13 year old Sal plans to escape her life with her alcoholic mother and mom's sexually abusive boyfriend by living in the wilderness with her 10 year old sister Peppa. She stocks supplies, learns everything she can on Youtube and TV. This book fills all the survival in the woods books of my youth (Hatchet, The 1st Boxcar book) while being fairly dark. What really made it was the girls voices I laughed out loud and cried, this one gave me a book hangover when it was over I just wanted to follow Sal and Peppa through their lives a bit more.
