Consistently good series. This one has the usual humor, food, girlfriend troubles and mispronunciations.

Another Montalbano mystery. After 13 books, I know what to expect when I pick one up, and this one did not disappoint.

A girl whose car is almost washed off the road. A yacht with a voracious owner who reports a murder. A possible love interest: cases to solve, life's mysteries to resolve, and fine Sicilian meals to be eaten.

Not one of the stronger installments in the series; it's a little less smoothly and tightly woven than the others. But still a fine read.

Recommended if you like the series. Probably not a great place to start. As always, excellent on audio.

This book had me laughing every few pages! The mystery itself was standard and boring, but the main attraction in this installment was how Montalbano spun a comical web of lies to get out of paperwork, riled up his boss (the Commissioner) and gotten himself into multiple personal tangles, I wonder how Camilleri will resolve things in the next book. I'm along for the ride!

I wouldn't say it was gripping necessarily, but it was quite good all the same. Witty with likeable characters, I feel like this would be the perfect book to read at the beach or by the pool.

This, so far, is my least favourite of the Andrea Camilleri books that I have read, there are some really funny moments but the whole Laura situation was not in character with the story.

I want justice for both Livia and Laura.
