Lovely collection of Dolly's wisdom. A nice quick read that teaches you lessons in patience, empathy, and self-reflection. I used to be quite judgemental about 'agony aunt' columns in magazines etc. (and was judgemental of myself for reading them) because I thought it was a way for strangers to get a gossipy look-in on your life's problems. But have since discovered that idea's a load of nonsense: it's about helping people to process their problems. Reading about other people's lives can help you understand your own. Seems obvious and cliche, but that's what I'm in the mood for. Dolly is very compassionate but is also unafraid to point out flaws and deliver a painful truth when need be.
