A beautiful, cozy, magical murder mystery with cats. Just what I needed. I think I’ll be  ordering book 2 and 3 in the series too. Very cute book, a few mistakes, but for a sweet, cute, magical murder mystery it doesn’t both me.

This is a very cute and sweet book. It’s not a huge character story just kind of fun. A little dip into a mystery with a talking cat and a whiny human familiar.

An interesting premise. Gracie discovers her cat is a witch and has chosen her as his familiar. She doesn't seem to have much choice. Fluffy - who's name as he informs her is Merlin (and he doesn't like Fluffy as a name at all) - is rather bossy and overbearing eventually. I didn't much like him at first, but he improves and it's a cute story with some hints of amazing magic.
