solid case of "it's me, not the book". I just couldn't connect with it at all, unfortunately.

- I love Altair, such an amazing character (for the Hindu Indian - Maybe a Karna who decided to become good)
- First half of the book is okay, the 2nd half is *chef’s kiss*
- All in all, not bad. Enjoyable series

I enjoyed this book despite it feeling a bit slow. I did take a bit of a break between the first and second book so it was a bit of a struggle to remember some of the plot from the first book, but it was pretty memorable! I do wish the chapters had a more clear way of telling you the POV from the beginning tho (I would be a bit lost for a couple paragraphs). There was some characters as well that I wish they made more loveable, since bad things would happen and I didn’t feel too sad for them for what happened

I know this is a YA novel, but I think teenagers deserve better books than this.

The worldbuilding is sloppy, plot events just HAPPEN, the romance is absurd.

I wish Altair was the protagonist. He would have been much less annoying.

i don’t process a vocabulary big enough to describe how much i enjoyed this book. the love i know hold for this duology is beyond this world and i will not live another day without recommending this to everyone i know. the author is a genius and i am now empty inside.
