This was such a great ending to this duology Hafsah Faizal does such an amazing job of bringing this story together and has become one of my favourite authors.
This book is full of twists and turns and the plot progresses at the perfect pace not too fast or slow. The writing really brings the story to life and there is so much culture in this that adds so much to the story. I loved the characters even more in this and each of their story arcs are so well done. Hasfah also gives us the angsty romance we all love.
Overall, I gave this 4.5 stars.

The world building in this story is just as beautiful as the cover of this book. (Which is saying a lot!) The different caliphates was a cool way to spice up long journeys across the world.
For me though, this book is really made by the characters. There was not a single character in this book that I didn’t like at least a little bit.
My only complaint? This book was a little long for me. But the ending is so worth it! Such a satisfying ending to one of my new favourite series!

this book lowkey put me in a reading slump and took me so long to finish :( (at least the begging did)
im so sad bc i didn’t love this book series. it was good and i really loved moments (nasir’s inner monologue abt zafira) but overall i was just kinda following along and a little confused the whole time lol.
