This book is incredible. I usually don't read fantasy, but decided to give it a go bc I saw it in the library. Best decision I ever made.
This book completely sweeped me off my feet. I loved everything, from the writing style that lures you in and keeps you turning pages, to the different places that are still so vivid in my mind, to the cast of really cool strongly written characters, to every single topic explored (politics, social and economical hierarchy, drugs and addiction, war, religion and spirituality...). I am speechless. This novel kept me on the edge of my seat till the very end. I honestly can't wait to get my lil hands on the other 2 parts.

v engaging and interesting, i was invested in the story throughout, but it does get very graphic (see trigger warnings) and i ended up skipping past a few paragraphs for my own sake. other than that it was a good book and i’ll be continuing the series
