i’ve loved reading this series so much, and the buildup to the two of them taking over the reestablishment was so exciting to read. i can’t wait to read the rest.

"And we are quotation marks, inverted and upside down, clinging to one another at the end of this life sentence. Trapped by lives we did not choose."

A perfect end to a perfect series. I have to say that the Shatter Me books have become my favorite of all time. Juliette and Warner are....I don't even know what to say, but the way Tahereh Mafi writes them is magical. It makes you believe that love is real and you can have a love like they do, and just god, this book was a masterpiece. I love it so much.

3.5⭐️ sorry but something about these books just isn’t doing it for me. I will not be continuing the series if this is supposed to be the best one. I might not be enjoying it as much as others because I am listening to them on audio and the narrator’s voice sounds like a 12 year old and it just causes a huge disconnect from the characters for me.

A spoilerly section, only because THIS IS THE LAST BOOK OF THE SHATTER ME SERIES.
Wow, this is the first trilogy that I have started and successfully finished in awhile.
That's when you know it's good, because I didn't drop the book mid-series.

I have to say Shatter Me, the first book, turned out to be my least favorite book, and honestly it took some pushing from others and my own tiny curiosity to continue with it. At first, I never had any feelings of "I'm-super-excited-to-see-what-happens-in-the-end." Yet, by the second book, the series did a complete 180 for me. Like I said in my previous reviews, when I normally drop a book mentally, I never pick up the following ones. However, my mom urged me to continue, and I am sure glad I did.

I was wholeheartedly proud for Juliette. She changed so much, and I can say I am content about the decisions she made (later on). I was only frustrated with her character in the first book, but little by little the readers grew up with her as she began learning and understanding herself. She went from whiny and pathetic to completely independent and confident. It was a sight to see.

What really hooked me into this series was the love interest, specifically Warner (of course). Their relationship was always foreshadowed, and I had to scratch that itch. I had to keep reading in order to finally see them together.

I do have a few critical comments to say about the plot, however. It seemed a bit anticlimactic to me. Most of the insane action, I believe, occurred at the end of book 2, sort of carried on into three and then leveled out quite a bit in this one. Also, the ending, I will admit, left a bit to be desired. I will warn all those future readers, that the ending is ambiguous. The characters' future is left unclear to us, but it gives us a possibility to imagine

One of those series you know is corny and not the best but you read anyway because it’s still entertaining. It’s definitely a cool concept but the execution is pretty poor in my opinion. It’s overdramatic and childish a lot of the times. The character “development” that really only happens in the main three characters is very abrupt. They all just seem to do a 180. Doesn’t feel genuine or realistic. Sorry but the writing is just not good. But that being said I still got sucked into the story. It’s one of those “guilty pleasure” series for me.
