To me, the story was predictable. I kept waiting for a current murder to tie into the cold case. However, it never did. The family histories were confusing and difficult to keep straight.  There was no tension at all.  Overall, it was just disappointing.

I thought I might like cozy mysteries. I in fact do not.

The fourth in the Cozy Capers Book Group series, Murder in a Cape Cottage by Maddie Day is a great addition to the series. Set in Cape Cod between Christmas and New Year's, Mac and Tim are finalizing their wedding plans and finishing renovations when they discover a cold case killing. A quick thriller set at a decent pace, chockful of suspense. This can be read as a standalone, but I think reading in order allows the reader a closer relationship with these great characters!
Thank you to @MaddieDay, #NetGalley, and #Kensington Books for the digital ARC of this book to read and review. I am happy to provide feedback on Maddie Day's terrific book. #MurderinaCapeCottage #NetGalley

When I need to read something light, I turn to cozy mysteries, and this series set on Cape Cod never disappoints. The characters are neighborly and relatable, the plot is easy to follow without being too predictable, and the details about Cape Cod pretty accurate. If you like cozies, I recommend this series.

It's official: I don't actually like cozy mysteries.

Wow this one was crazy. Working on home reno projects and finding a skeleton?! A bride skeleton?? Worse fears is what you find in or behind walls. I like this group of friends always helping each other out and solving crimes together with their cozy mystery book group.
