Fun mystery with art history and amnesia (think Jason Borne).

I really liked this book a lot. Most of my favorite books like these are based in Washington D.C and all of the mystery surrounding this was pretty good. I loved all of the plot here and this is probably the only mystery book I will ever read because all of the other ones will never live up to my standards.

I don't read a lot (or really any) books that I would classify as "juvenile fiction thrillers", but listen, this is it! Thought this was a cool entry into the heisty thiefy type book. Really cool idea to put QR codes throughout so readers can see the piece of art being described (although I wonder if it'll date the book-there was already one QR code that didn't go anywhere, so maybe a broken link or something). Nothing earth shattering here, but fun and give out-able, for sure.

I really enjoyed this book. Admittedly, the abilities of the main character were a little farfetched, but it was still a fun read.

Standard juvi mystery, reminded me a bit about the Da Vinci Code because of the art references. I would've given it a 4 but there's QR codes throughout that link to images of the famous paintings they discuss, and I think that's really cool.

A solid 4.5! In my opinion, Hicks is one of the best children's authors. The books are interesting, engaging, and educational. This one is even interactive with QR codes.

Emily’s first “thriller” that we listed to on audiobook for Battle of the Books. The narrator was not great, and we were both pretty confused at the beginning, but overall we liked it! I saw there’s another book after we finished it and we’d both be interested in reading it.
