I liked the overall structure but felt it was way too self-absorbed, and I didn't like the hurried-up ending. I just read a friend's review that said that this book was all about, "me-me-me." Very true. Many people have been through much more earth-shattering experiences and they don't have the luxury of a year off to rediscover themselves...

I just couldn't get into this one. It was very, very slow.

I really enjoyed the first third of this book and then it kind of lost my attention after that. The writing was funny and witty. It’s definitely an inspiring book and goes to show it’s never too late to travel/start fresh.

I saw the movie first. I liked the movie ok, but wasn't sure I'd love the book. I got it at a yard sale for 10 cents, so figured why not. I ended up LOVING this book. The history, the philosophy, the descriptions of the places she visited... this book was great. Bestseller for a reason!

Did not finish...

For me, there are too many details in which I got lost, and too much religious talk. I did love the edition of the book though (white pages and very flexible)
