This book truly engages in the retelling of human history. It is impossible to tell the story of us, by us, without politics, and the author never claims his view is neutral. This is a wonderful narrative from beginning to end that gives he reader something to think about at each turn. Harari encourages us to critique and question all of the reasons we live the way we do today, the real purpose of studying history in the first place. Highly recommend.

The book, for me, is really AMAZING !! It really defines the definition "human" in the very different way than normal view of us. The book covers a wide range of topics, from Cognitive Revolution, the commencement of Agriculture to the purpose of Science and the idea of Happiness, which are written chronically. Don't matter if you are sociologists, natural scientist, or just high school students, the book will definitely bring you interesting experiences.

I'm feeling quite lost for words upon finishing this, because I don't know how to describe it without using cheesy phrases like 'a must-read' or 'mind-blowing'. It's really comprehensive, well-written and thought-provoking. The subject matter is deep and covers so much but it never feels heavy or dry. It was both eye-opening and very enjoyable to read, and I highly recommend it.
