I didn’t connect with this one. I didn’t like the characters. The plot was lacking. It took forever for anything to happen and when it did, Poirot was no where to be seen. I need more Poirot in my Poirot mystery. The mystery itself was too easy to guess. Oh well, I can’t like them all.
3.5 stars. For 85% of the book, I thought it was going to be a 4-starer, but the end was just a little too convoluted for that.
In typical Agatha Christie fashion, this book is just what I'd hoped it would be. I'm glad I got, glad to have read it and just glad overall. The intrigue, suspense...it truly kept me guessing as to how everything tied in together and just when I thought I knew who the killer was, I was utterly wrong. It was a truly satisfying read. Thanks again, Agatha Christie!! 😊👏👏
