I first read this book back in 2015 when it was first published, so this was a much needed reread.  After the first time reading this book, I immediately threw it into the top spot of my favorite book. However, within the last year or two I have read some outstanding books that had me beginning to feel this book move down the chart a bit.
A resounding 5 stars does not begin to cover my adoration for this story.  This will still firmly sit in my top spot of favorite book, hands down. No questions asked.
Hannah, as always, writes so beautifully that you are pulled into the characters lives and you feel every single emotion they are feeling. Every heartbreak, every joyous moment, every despair, all of the small hopes, the bravery, the love, the shame and the defiance.
If you have not read this, please do so. You are truly missing out on a wonderful book that will stay with you for years to come.
