Ildiko and Brishen continue to be couple goals in this installment.
I wish it had been a little longer, just so the resolution had been allowed to breath a little more. But overall, I enjoyed it as much as the first even if this one had more war/battle than romance.

I feel like this went off the rails a bit from the first one. No witty banter, but the characters are facing serious problems in the novel. The solution to the issue is also very grim and dark and felt like the author was reaching for ANYTHING we might not have read before without really fitting it into the book well. Still love the characters, but this one felt disjointed compared to the first.

Just as amazing as the 1st! I wish we could hear more about their lives and how growing up with a human and kai guardian influences the future queen!

I couldn’t put this book down! Grace Draven took me out a terrible reading slump and im forever grateful! One of my favorite authors now. Running to read the next book in the series.
