Relentless Hunter
The O'Malley Family (Mafia Wars, Book 10)
By: Maggie Cole
Narrated by: Stephanie Nemeth-Parker, Connor Crais

Gripping. Intense. Passionate. Completely engaging. This last book in the Mafia Wars series is all that and more! It's Finn and Brenna's story, written about a love that is so powerful that nothing can tear them apart. Maggie Cole takes us over a period of 20 years, letting us see the first meeting, and the incredibly alluring Finn win the heart of the beautiful Brenna. But fate has led them on a journey that is heartbreaking to say the least. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does, but there is always that lingering hope. This is by far my favorite of all the stories. It brings out every emotion and even at times a tear or two and for me that takes a lot! It's powerful and exciting, and just kept me on the edge waiting to see what was going to happen. It certainly is one that if you enjoy romantic suspense, you should definitely pick up! And with that being said, don't start with this one. Enjoy the entire series. It's fantastic!

Now the narration. I can't even begin to say how good Connor Crais and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker are. To bring these characters alive is a feat, but to go through the love and anguish they had, and keep us engaged is just amazing entertainment. Both understood their characters, jumped in and felt their emotions clearly as they emulated them to us. Amazing story tellers and a listen that is so good, I can't say enough.

The best book in this 10 book series. 5+ stars. The books starts 21 years in the past when Finn & Brenna meet and fall in love. From the other books prior we know Finn goes to jail for 20 years while Brenna seems to disappear from the earth. The book then jumps 15 years in the past, 10 years, and then to the present. We see how a love as strong as Finn & Brenna’s last through the horrors of 20 years. This book broke me, put me together then started the process over again. I was teary so often reading this. I adore both MCs equally. Their strength, courage and caring were phenomenal. What a great end to this series.

Relentless Hunter by Maggie Cole is a second chance dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and Connor Crais. This is the tenth and final book in the Mafia Wars Series. The book can be read as a standalone, but the stories are interconnected.

This is the first series of Maggie's that I have read and it won't be my last. I loved the relationship between Finn and Brenna. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Stephanie and Connor did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like second chance romances, dark romances, mafia romances, or romantic suspense.

I liked this a lot. There was a lot to be told on this book, how Finn and Brenna began and what happened to them so for once I appreciated the time jumps. It was the right way to go.

I loved Finn and his unwavering love for Brenna. He never gave up and I LOVE when a man never gives up on what he wants.
I hoped Brenna would somehow be more of a badass after everything she went through but I understand why she wasn’t written that way and I’m okay with it.

We finally know what went down with Sean’s wife and with him years ago. Still don’t know how to feel about the whole thing but I get it.

All in all I had a great time with this series and I’m glad I read it.

Relentless Hunter is the tenth and last book in the Mafia Wars series. This was such a great series and I did not want it to end! Maggie wrote an amazing series so that I could not wait until the next book. It was bittersweet knowing that this was the last book in the series. Breanna and Finn’s story was the perfect way to end this amazing series. This finale will not let you down.

“Firefly?” “Yeah. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with fireflies. I would catch them in jars and watch them glow all night. You remind me of them. You light up the room. So, I could sit and be happy watching you glow all night,” I confess.

First Impressions
Relentless Hunter is the last book in the Mafia Wars series and this is one of my most anticipated reads of the series, as I have heard the best things about this book but I knew that it would be a rough read, and yeah it’s not the easiest of these books to read, but it is one of the most satisfying of the series. I was really drawn into the book because this is Finn’s book and I knew his story would be so badass and it definitely was. But I would say pay attention to the triggers in this one because it does contain some difficult content that some will struggle with. I was impressed with how Maggie Cole handled this book and there was such an intensity to this book that really worked out so well for me. From the first page, you know that the author is going to put you through the emotional ringer and she definitely does in this one, but it’s a story that I feel must be told and it had me all in my feels and is definitely worth the journey,

But that’s the thing about love. You find it in your heart to overlook the things that aren’t perfect because no one is. Everyone has their demons, so you accept them and love them for who they

Summary
From the moment that Finn and Brenna, knew that there was something deep and special for them. Brenna and Finn embrace instantly the connection that they have together, and even though Brenna knows that Finn is part of a dangerous family, she always has complete faith in him. She knows he will always protect her no matter the cost. But when Brenna ends in a situation, Finn steps in and is the one caught red-handed and he ends up in prison for 21 years for it. But what hurts him the most, is knowing that Brenna has disappeared and no one can find her and he is stuck in Prison unable to search for her and protect her, he has no idea if she is alive or dead but he is determined to be the King and hone his skills so that when he is free, he can do whatever it takes to find his Firefly, Brenna on her side, was kidnapped and sold as a slave, but when she escaped, she thought she would find a way but now believes that Finn is dead, and then gets recaptured and is stuck in her own prison, not knowing if she will ever have a taste of freedom again. When Finn finds out that Brenna is very much alive, he will do whatever it takes to free her no matter the war that will have to happen.

She loves me. Every day she shows me. And she looks past all the bullshit of what my family and I bring to the table and still accepts me. She knows all my faults, yet she unconditionally loves me.

What I Loved
This book tore my heart in shreds and I am not saying that lightly, my heart just broke for Finn and Brenna and what they both suffer. We get to see them falling in love and how beautiful their connection is, I really loved how Brenna accepts Finn for who he is, and is so understanding of where he is in life and his status with his family. Then we have Finn, who is so protective over Brenna and makes his share of mistakes, but I loved his fierce determination to protect her. We see how their connection doesn’t waver despite their 21-year separation and that they are so together no matter the evils that try to keep them apart, and then we have that beautiful moment when they find each other again, and it was worth all the pain and struggle that they have to face to be together again,. This is definitely one of my top favorite books of the series, there is something so deep and profound about this book that resonates so well with this reader. Maggie Cole definitely shows her true talents in this one here. I wanted so much to have these two together and to find their much-deserved HEA. On the side, we also get to see the truth behind Bridget and seeing what happened to her to cause her to distance herself and the truth of what happened the night Sean was killed. I have a feeling that her story is not even close to being over and very curious to see about the connecting series that Maggie Cole is currently working on.

So I make a decision. No matter what, I won’t waver again. I’ll lead her through the maze until we get to the end, and anytime she doubts her worth or my love for her, I’ll show her.

What I Struggled With
This book is perfection!!!! I wouldn’t change a thing.

Overall View
Relentless Hunter is an intense filled romance that will capture your heart and will have you fighting for this pair as they work their way towards their much-deserved HEA. Its a story of struggle, determination, and conquering evil to embrace the one you love the most!!

“Whatever happens, I’m walking out that door with you. Always. Forever.”

Fighting to survive

Maggie Cole has done it again and with the last book for the I'm alley Mafia Wars she brought everything full circle for the series. Finn and Brenna's full story is heartbreaking, shocking and worth the fight th were put through for 21 years. Makes you want to find a love like Finn holds for her.
