I flew through this book! I love this coming of age story told through the nanny. She has the upbringing from her uptight parents going into the mess of the family she nannies. Her exploration of self was so pure and refreshing. Definitely recommend the audiobook

I loved this book! Two polar opposite families---one moment I felt such deep understanding, similarity and connection to each family and the next moment I was horrified and couldn't have felt more alien to that family. Enter in Mary Jane, who is like Switzerland in the middle of these two extremely diverse families, spreading the good and positive from each family to the other in her adorable, humble way. Mary Jane is just the sweetest character! I remember feeling like her as a young teen, being so confused yet so curious about adult-y topics. Extremely well written and I couldn't put it down!
