Bad choice for a first timer to jump into DC comics. Afterwards I started with some New52 titles and they were much (much!) more suitable for readers unfamiliar with the DC universe.

the Blue Beetle made everything DC relevant again to life and the society.

I don't know much about the Blue Beetle, but he was a terrific character to narrate this stand-alone issue that works as a quiet introduction into Infinite Crisis. There has to be more than this, but I imagine it's spread out among different series. It moves along swiftly, and it's an outstanding example of solid comic book pace and narration. I enjoyed it thoroughly (especially with how dark and cold the world seems going into Infinite Crisis, after reading Crisis On Infinite Earths).

This was cool. I was never a Booster Gold or Blue Beetle fan, but this was cool. Nicely told in chapters and good narrative voice. Good ending.

Now I'm gonna spend the rest of my life crying over this every time Ted is even mentioned.
