I enjoyed this book.

I feel like it’s a bit hard to follow at times due to not enough backstory. Mainly we know our girls on the run from her past essentially (actually running from someone or something is the question) and she meets Locke. It goes downhill from there in terms of her freedom but it’s interesting enough to continue the series for me

Interesting Start to the Series

The MMCs believe that the FMC knows something she shouldn't, so they do all in their power to try and protect themselves, but at what cost?

What's not to love about 4 (yes 4) completely different but amazing MMCs vs a sassy FMC?

I'd say this is a slow burn, but as soon as the spice be spicing, then oh boy

This was my first book by Abby Millsaps, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It is a why choose sports romance, so I was intrigued.

Josephine (Joey) immediately meets the four MMCs when they confront her because they thought the new student named Joey was a guy. Later, she goes to a party and has an instant connection with Locke…or well, it’s insta-lust anyway.

When Josephine gets a new job, she sees something she isn’t supposed to see, so Decker kidnaps her and forces her to stay with him and his three roommates, Kylian, Kendrick, and yes, Locke. Things are very tense in the house because Josephine is pretty much under their watch and has no way to escape, and Decker is a complete a**hole.

Decker is the quarterback on the football team, and he has a secret that cannot get out (which is the main reason he kidnapped Josephine). But damn, did some parts get spicy. Locke still has a thing for Josephine, but she doesn’t completely trust him anymore, not after his part in her kidnapping and keeping her captive. He’s still sweet to her though and also has a secret. Kylian also falls for Josephine. He’s very sweet and intelligent. He doesn’t play on the football team, but he still plays a large part in the game. Kendrick…just an a**hole, and that’s all I have to say, for now.

The story was pretty fast-paced and I loved all the different POVs. Now, as I was nearing the 90% mark, things were NOT resolved and I knew it was going to end on a cliffhanger. And ugh, now I have to wait for the next book! I have so many questions, so I really can’t wait!

I don't even know how to write a review for this right now. I'm absolutely loving this. The banter, the tension, the secrets, the chemistry. I cannot wait to see how their story continues.

sports romance x forced proximity x billionaire

After reading So Wrong & So Real, I needed to catch up on all the background for the characters in this world - and I am now hooked. I knew I would love Joey's story after glimpsing her in Hunter's series but the intrigue and circumstances that put her in the path of her four men were surprising. The tension and chemistry is insane. And the mystery of Joey & her background is one that kept me on the edge, grasping for more easter eggs that we slowly get.

Kylian is my favorite MMC in this book - the care in which his character is depicted and his neurodivergent tendencies are beautiful. He's a bit of a contrast - caring, sweet but then a dominant alpha in the sheets. He's a man after my own heart.

All four men are so different but they captured my attention. And this is a trilogy that needs to be read in order because this first book ends on a cliffhanger. I am officially hooked and cannot wait to see how this story unfolds.

Listening to this audio was great - it's a dual narration and the narrators (June Deborahae, Vincent Skye, Ace Bentley) do a great job at embodying these characters & this story had me finishing this one within a day.

❓Why Choose
⚡️ Enemies to Lovers

Omg so good. I am a huge fan of why choose Romance and i think Abbi did a great job creating these characters. My favourite was Abbi incorporating a neurodivergent character and highlighting that it’s not negative. These characters were complex and the suspense was well built up. The relationships between the boys was just as good as their relationship between Josephine.

Loved this book, such a great compelling story I couldn't put it down! Though we don't know Jo's full story yet you can tell that she's been through some tough times and she is now trying to live a little. I love her sass and the way she is trying to embrace everything that is happening. I also love her acceptance of all the guys and their issues. The dynamics of the guys is great and I can't wait for the next book as I am loving where this story is going.
