Someone recommended me this book and I have to say that I've enjoyed a lot even though there are thousands of histories about vampires. I like the couple, they are pure chemistry, and I'm intrigued on how the story is going to continue.

This book is so goofy and ridiculous and while I liked it somewhat it was just soooooooo 2007 if you know what I mean lol. Ultimately it's a 3 stars because I could not take anyone in this book seriously.

Best book I’ve read all year and potentially in the last 5 years. Had me hooked. Funny, cool, stylistic, SEXY, thrilling, gripping. I’m obsessed.

DNF @ 30%
I wanted to like this so much. It had all the elements I love, but was just entirely too cheesy. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by series like Charley Davidson and Kate Daniels, where any cheesy or unbelievable writing is overlooked by very sharp wit. I can forgive almost any writing atrocity if the dialogue is clever enough. Unfortunately in this story, the heroine wasn’t nearly as bad ass as I’d have liked and the banter wanted to beat me over the head with it’s obviousness. Also, the whole underwear thing was too much for me. The story felt contrived and the “Spike” character was way too try hard. Spike was my first love as a tween, so I’m not sure how this author managed to get me to dislike the character.

August 2014 - 3rd re-read, I need my Bones fix.

May 2012 - Just did a re-read. Oh how I love Bones and for some reason Cat annoyed me more the second time round. Not sure why, maybe it's the kinda of mood I'm in.
