I truly loved this book. It's such a compelling story of people being people and just trying to make it through hard and messy lives. It reaffirms that we're all making the best decisions we can at a given moment, and that people can do heinous things and the world has to find a way to keep spinning.

For the whole book, I really didn't know how I wanted it to resolve, and that was so fun. I love a book I can't predict. And whew, the resolution was so satisfying! I could have kept listening for another hour of storyline, but that's just because I loved the story and characters so darn much. Highly highly recommend.

While this book tackles heavy subject matter, I felt the author did it in a beautifully redemptive way. The FMC is so resilient and strong and yet she is held out as a flawed woman working through her own trauma.

The MMC is a kind and considerate and deeply loving man who still blunders and yet there is so much forgiveness between them and toward other characters.

I loved it, I cried, I smiled, I wish I could read it again for the first time.

One of the best books I’ve read this year.
