Not sure how I feel about the premise. Feels icky at some points and quite unrealistic for most of it. Writing was fine.

Would absolutely never recommend to survivors of sexual assault.

This book was extremely hard to read. I hated Sylvia more than I hated Birdie or even Daniel. I couldn’t fathom how Sara could even look at Jacob without roiling in disgust (meaning I know I couldn’t). So while is a beautiful story, it’s also far too unrealistic for my brain to grasp. Perhaps I’m less charitable than Sara. Perhaps Sara is more of an aspiration for the kind of heart I would like to have someday.

This book is very conflicting for me. I have no other rating except 2.5/5. This books covers a very serious topic in the world and I almost put it down at somepoint, because it was almost to much for me.  I only can say I am conflicted on how I feel about it.
