I really liked this book because it had so many unique and different ideas floating around, and they all came together perfectly. Although the main characters insecurities got on my nerves it was a good portrayal of how most people actually feel and every time she doubted herself or the situation she as able come to the correct conclusion. She was always willing to see it from the other persons perspective. All the characters were likable, and I would love to read a spin off story of the dust-wife's life or at least how she got that demon into the chicken.

Vermakelijk en makkelijk om te lezen, maar voor mij iets te simplistisch, het blijft niet echt hangen. Ik mis ook de humor die ik in een andere serie van T. Kingfisher juist zo goed vond.

I absolutely adore this book. It's qn adult fairy tale that spoke about determination and Mara is so relatable and endearing that you just want to see her succeed even if she doesn't believe in herself. I love the dynamics of the characters! Angus and the Dust Wife have such a great dynamic and Fenris and Mara are adorable together and I love how they keep helping people along the way and there was even a message about people not wanting to be helped too! I loved how it came full circle with Bone Dog too! The magic in this story was amazing and even have some explanations and honestly T. Kingfisher is such a great writer!
