Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley has my heart. This is one of my favourite novels ever. The pacing is perfect for my liking, the characters have so many layers, the narration is beautiful; I adore this book.

Not only is this a gothic masterpiece, it’s also a look into Shelley’s view of the world. The pain and solitude resound so loud in the pages, that I cried a tear or two. I love this novel.
