The first book had more depth and story. This was just pure grossness.

Wow! After reading the first book, Gone to See the River Man, which was disturbing, it took me awhile to actually read this one. It was after seeing it in my Facebook Horror group I decided to give it a try. I normally like horror and don't mind gore, as I write it myself, but the whole love of the murderer and then the MC passion to find him and become one of his victims just put me off. Which meant it was a good and very moving book. I didn't forget it anytime soon.

This book was fantastic. The author did a spectacular job with the characters. And I did not see the true character traits coming. The cop and the girl took me by surprise. Nobody, except our killer, is what they seem when introduced. The pages were flying by and I ate this up in one sitting. By the end, my favorite character WAS the murderer and the cop, he got what he deserved. Fantastic read.
